Description
A plentiful commodity in military supply rooms around the world, paracord is used by troops in every branch of the military to "dummy cord" important items to packs, load-bearing equipment, and even to secure optics to rifles (ask any paratrooper who has had an expensive optic come loose from their M4 during a static line jump). Parachute riser cord is rated to hold 550 lbs, and so many simply know it as 550 cord. Braided 550 cord is strong and can be unraveled in a survival situation to be used as a material for snaring food or constructing a shelter or improvised hunting tools. Hopefully, you won't need to use your Paracord sling to survive, but in a pinch, it's there.
