Description
The Swhacker #282 Hank Parker Series broadhead takes the best of the time-tested Swhacker #231 crossbow head and adds new Blade-Lock Technology and the Hunt-Ready Plug System.
Blade-Lock Technology allows the user to lock the blades in the closed position for practice. Simply remove the Blade-Lock set screw and replace it with a Hunt-Ready plug or standard shrink band for the hunt.
The #282 Hank Parker Series supports Swhacker's unique Hunt-Ready Plug System, an alternative to the current shrink band retention system for mechanical blades. Hunt-ready plugs are compatible with models #200, #261, #269, #275, #276, #277, #282, #287, #291 & #298.
The #282 features Swhacker's industry-first slice-twice blade design, which provides you with two separate cutting edges.
The first set of edges, the wing blades, are used for cutting the hide and the first set of ribs. These blades are also used to open the broadhead and are much smaller than the main blades. They take the most punishment by cutting through the hair, dirt, hide, and bones during entry. The smaller wing blades require less energy to penetrate than an "open on impact" broadhead. The wing blades also provide a load bearing surface for the ferrule during impact.
The second set of edges, the main blades, are not dulled by hide or bone during the initial penetration. This allows the main blades to remain razor sharp when they open inside the body cavity, wreaking havoc on muscle, tissue, and organs.
